Born in Esfahan, Iran, Cyrus was inspired and influenced at an early age by his journalist father and grandfather poet. Growing up in such a historical and artistic environment, he developed his passion for telling the stories of people, places, cultures and issues that aren’t represented in the mainstream media. His journey began by moving to the US at age 17. Educated in Michigan and schooled around the world by exploring over 30 countries. Cyrus`interest in making documentaries is to deliver unheard voices. Using the lens of his camera as a tool for contributing to human rights and exposing the struggles for social justice. His latest project “ Voices Of Chile ” is a feature documentary which will be release in spring 2011.
